These Terms govern your use of The Mega Backdoor (the "Site") and our products, operated by MBD Media LLC, a California limited liability company (2108 N St, Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816). By using the Site or buying a product, you agree to these Terms. Questions: help@themegabackdoor.com.
1. What we offer
Educational personal-finance content, free tools (like the Money Snapshot calculator), a free newsletter, and digital products such as the Money System spreadsheet.
2. Educational only — not financial advice
Everything we provide is for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. We are not your financial advisor or fiduciary, and no advisor-client relationship is created. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional about your specific situation.
3. No guarantees
We make no promises about results, returns, savings, income, or financial outcomes. Any figures, projections, or "FI numbers" are estimates based on the inputs and assumptions provided (for example, a 4% withdrawal rate) and are not guarantees. Your results depend on factors outside our control.
4. The products & license
When you buy a digital product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, publicly post, or share it. Products are typically delivered as a Google Sheets template you copy into your own Google account.
5. Payments & refunds
Prices are shown at checkout and processed by Stripe. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on digital products — email help@themegabackdoor.com within 14 days for a full refund. Except as stated here or required by law, payments are otherwise non-refundable.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Site: no unlawful use, no attempts to break or overload it, no scraping or reverse-engineering, and no infringing our or others' rights.
7. Assumption of risk
You use the Site, tools, and products at your own risk and are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it, including current tax figures and your own numbers.
8. Intellectual property
The Site, products, content, and brand are owned by MBD Media LLC and protected by law. Your product license does not transfer ownership.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and products are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any result will be achieved.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MBD Media LLC and its owner(s) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any lost profits, savings, or data, arising from or related to the Site or products — even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MBD Media LLC and its owner(s) from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or products, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Dispute resolution & arbitration
Most issues can be resolved quickly — email us first at help@themegabackdoor.com and we'll try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we can't, you agree that disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court, and that you waive any class action or jury trial, to the extent permitted by law. (Arbitration/class-waiver enforceability varies by jurisdiction.)
13. Changes & termination
We may update these Terms or the Site at any time; continued use means you accept the changes. We may suspend or end access for misuse.
14. Severability & entire agreement
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms (plus the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site and products.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Questions: help@themegabackdoor.com.
